Sarah Cox is the owner and Creative Director of ArthurCox which she set up in 2002 with Sally Arthur. More recently she created and directed an animated pre-school series for Disney Junior ‘Nina Needs to Go’. This was produced in the UK by ArthurCox and is currently screening on Disney Junior worldwide. It was BAFTA nominated in 2014 and the second series went out Feb 2015.
As part of the iFeatures scheme she also produced her first live action feature film 8 Minutes Idle; a comedy set in a Bristol Call Centre and directed by Mark Simon Hewis. Thanks to a successful Kickstarter campaign it was released on Valentine’s Day 2014.
As a freelance director Sarah directed the Itch of the Golden Nit for Aardman Animations as part of the BAFTA award winning Tate Movie Project. She is also a BAFTA nominated short film Director and her film Don’t Let it All Unravel won the Tricky Women Award of Vienna in 2008.
Sarah is a frequent panel participant and juror at Film Festivals and events; as juror on the Pre Selection Committee for Annecy 2005, judge of the Film section of the Northern Design Awards 2010, Juror for Fantoche and Animated Encounters 2011. She was a speaker at the 2011 Festival of Ideas as part of the Bristol Genius series, a voting member of BAFTA and recently sat on the jury for the Short Animation Award 2014.
Sarah Cox presented retrospective screenings of the ArthurCox studio at Animac 2011 and Anima Mundi Rio in 2012.
 She is currently developing an animated feature film Jasia with Magdalena Osinska.
